How to Add Contacts from Audience as Guests into Events
To import contacts from Audience into Events, follow the step-by-step instructions below:
1. Prepare Your Contact List in Audience
Create a list in Audience. Learn how to create a list in Audience here.
Add to this list the guests you’d like to invite to your event. Learn how to add contacts to a list in Audience here.
Assign the ‘Approved’ status to your list. Please note: Only approved lists containing at least one contact can be imported into Events. Learn how to change a list’s status in Audience here.
2. Import the Approved List into zkipster Events
In Events, either create a new guest list or open an existing one where you want the contacts to be added to.
From within the guest list, click the ‘Add Guests’ button in the top-right corner, then select ‘Import from Audience’ from the dropdown menu.
This will trigger a pop-up prompting you to select one of the approved lists currently available in Audience. Follow the on-screen instructions.
After clicking ‘Import to Event’, you’ll be taken to the matching page.
On this page, first resolve any unmatched fields by either manually selecting an existing response field in Events to match the corresponding data from Audience, or creating a custom field in Events to accommodate the data, or choosing to skip matching the field.
Please note: skipping a field match will result in the unmatched data not being transferred to the contacts' guest profiles, but you will not loose this data - it will remain stored on the contacts' profile in Audience.
Next, choose the RSVP status you’d like to assign to the imported guests (e.g., Confirmed or Unconfirmed).
Finally, click ‘Import Contacts’ to begin the import. A pop-up will display the progress, and you’ll receive a confirmation email once the import is complete.
Once the import is finished, your contacts will be successfully added to the selected guest list in Events.
