Overview
Payments in zkipster use Stripe as its underlying payment processor. The country you select as your business's registration country determines whether Stripe (and therefore Payments) is fully available to you.
"Is Stripe supported in my country?" is not a single yes/no question. The answer depends on whether you are setting up a Stripe account to process payments in a certain country or making payments to an existing Stripe account:
Can a business open a Stripe account there? This is the 'fully supported' list below: the countries where a merchant can register, verify, and receive payouts directly with Stripe. Any of these countries can be selected from the business registration dropdown menu during the Payments onboarding process.
For more information on zkipster's onboarding process for Payments, see How to Configure your zkipster Account to Collect Payments.
Can that business accept payments from a customer there? Yes, from almost anywhere. Once a Stripe account is set up in a supported country, it can accept payments from customers located in any of Stripe's 195+ supported payment countries, regardless of where the account itself is based.
In other words: account location and customer payment location are two different things. This article covers account location, where a zkipster customer (or their business's payment processor) needs to be based to use Stripe directly.

Preview markets
India and Indonesia currently have limited ("preview") Stripe access, requiring direct contact with Stripe's sales team rather than standard onboarding through zkipster's Payments page. Feature availability may be restricted compared to fully supported countries. If you need to register a business in one of these countries, please reach out to support@zkipster.com.
Frequently asked questions
Is my country supported? For live updates, the best place to check is Stripe's list of supported countries, located at stripe.com/global.
Does this affect which currencies I can collect payments from guests in? No, this article covers account eligibility only. Currency and payment method support are separate and vary by the country the business is registered in.
What can I do if my country is not on the Fully Supported list?
Reach out to zkipster support at support@zkipster.com or via the chat icon, located in the bottom-right corner of any zkipster page. Our team can advise on the best path forward.
Register a business entity in a supported country. Some organizations set up a legal entity (e.g., in the US, UK, or another supported country) specifically to process payments through Stripe. Please note that zkipster's 'Tap to pay' feature requires the 3 following conditions to align to collect on-site payments:
The country your Stripe business account is registered in.
The country of the Stripe Reader Location.
The currency used for the 'Tap to pay' transaction.
