The Social Share Icons section adds a row of clickable social media icons to your email. Each icon links to one of your event or company profiles, giving guests an easy way to follow you, join the conversation around your event and share it with their own networks.
In this article you will learn how to:
Turn on Social Share Icons
Open your email campaign and go to the Composer in the Email Builder.
Find the Social Share Icons section in the list of email sections.
Toggle the section on. The icons will now appear in the email preview.
2. Choose Your Networks (Icon Settings)
Under Icon Settings, decide which social networks to show and where each icon should lead:
Select a network: choose the social media platform from the drop-down menu.
Add the link: paste the full URL of your profile or page, including https:// (for example, https://www.instagram.com/yourevent).
Add more icons: click Add More to include another network.
Reorder icons: drag and drop the icons into the order you want them to appear.
Remove an icon: click the minus sign next to the network you no longer need.
3. Customize Your Icons (Icon Design)
Under Icon Design, adjust the icons so they match the look of your invitation:
Setting | What it does |
Color | Show the official brand colors of each network, or switch all icons to black or white. Your choice applies to every icon in the section. |
Alignment | Place the icons on the left, in the center or on the right of the email. |
Size | Choose between small and large icons. |
Top margin | Set the space above the icons, in pixels, to control how far they sit from the section before. The default is 40 px. |
Tip: White icons work best on dark email backgrounds and black icons on light ones. Use the official colors when you want the networks to be instantly recognizable. |
4. Position the Icons in Your Email
Like most sections in the Composer, Social Share Icons can be moved. Click and hold the section, then drag it to where you want it in the email.
Many organizers place the icons near the bottom of the email, after the RSVP button, so they don't distract from the main call to action.
The Email Setup, Background and Plain Text sections are locked and cannot be moved.
Please note: Social Share Icons are part of the HTML design of your email. If you've enabled the Plain Text version of your campaign, the icons won't appear there. To share your social links with those guests, add them as plain links in the Plain Text section. |
Best Practices
Save Your Changes: When you're happy with your icons, click the gold Save Changes button in the top right corner of the Email Builder. Changes are not kept until you save.
Choose relevant platforms. Show the networks that matter to your guests and your brand.
Use full, working links. Always include https:// and click every icon in your test email.
Link to the right profile. If your event has its own pages, link to those rather than your general company account.
Keep the main action first. Place the icons below your RSVP button so guests respond before they browse.
Send a Test Email. Before sending your campaign, send yourself a test email to check how the icons look in a real inbox and to click each one to make sure it opens the right page. You'll find the test option at the top of the Email Builder. Learn how to send a test email.
