Overview
The Push List to Event feature allows you to take an Approved List, or multiple Lists in zkipster Audience and Push it into one or more zkipster Events as a Guest list(s).
When Pushing Lists to multiple Events at once, you can choose whether each List is Pushed as separate Guest Lists or combined into a single Guest List.
Click any of the links below to jump ahead in the article:
Step 1: Approve all Lists you intend to Push to Events
In zkipster Audience, select one or more Lists to be Approved. A List must have a status of 'Approved' before it can be Pushed to an Event.
2. If your List has a status of 'In Progress' or 'Needs Review', you will need to change it to 'Approved' by selecting the Lists, and then clicking 'Edit Status' from the Actions dropdown menu.
3. On the next screen, select 'Approved' from the dropdown menu and click 'Save List'. See the GIF below for a demonstration of this process.
Step 2: Configure your Push settings
With your List(s) selected, open the Actions dropdown menu and click 'Push Lists to Events'.
2. Select which Event(s) to Push your List(s) to from the Event dropdown menu. You can select up to 10 Lists and up to 10 Events for each Push.
3. Select whether your Lists in Audience will be Pushed as separate Guest Lists or combined into a single Guest List.
Maintain separate Guest Lists: Each List will become a separate Guest List with the same name it has in Audience.
Combine Guest Lists into one: All Contacts will be Pushed to a single Guest List per Event. Contacts that appear in multiple Lists will be added only once. You will be prompted to enter the new name for this combined Guest List.
4: Set the Guest Status Contacts should be assigned when pushed to Events as Guests. Open the dropdown menu to choose from:
Unconfirmed
Confirmed
Declined
5. When you are ready to Push your Lists to Events, review your Push configuration and click 'Next'.
Step 3: Match your Fields between Audience and Events via the Matching Screen
At the top of the Matching Screen, you will be provided with the options to:
Create available Relationships: Check this box to Push Related Contacts to your Event(s) as Related Guests.
Send a confirmation email when the push is complete: Check this box to receive an email containing a summary of your Pushed Contacts, along with any errors.
Matching your Fields
Before your list is pushed, zkipster automatically matches each Field from Audience to the corresponding Field in your Event(s). This ensures that Guest data, such as names, contact information, organization details, etc., carries over correctly.
Each row shows:
Audience Field: Default or Custom Fields in zkipster Audience.
Event Field: The Field in your Event(s) that your Audience Field is being matched to.
Match status: whether the matching was successful or needs your attention
Status | What it means |
| The Audience Field was automatically matched to an equivalent Events Field. No action needed. |
| zkipster could not find a corresponding Field in the Event(s), so this Field will not be pushed. You can manually select a different Event Field from the dropdown if one should exist, or leave it as Skip if the Field is not needed in the Event. |
For example, fields like Salutation, First Name, Last Name, Organization (Primary), and both Email fields typically match automatically, since these Fields exist by default in both Audience and Events.
Fields like Suffix, Nickname, or Job Title may show as Skip if there is no matching Custom Field set up on the Event side. In that case, review whether the field should be created in the Event or intentionally left out of the Push.
Before continuing, review every row marked Skip. Pushing with unresolved Skip Fields means that data will not carry over to the Guest List(s) in Events.
Once you have reviewed your Field matches and confirmed your Push settings, select Push to Event to complete the process, or Cancel to return to the Push configuration screen.
While your Push is processing, you will see the following screen. If you wish to return to your Audience, you can click the 'X' symbol in the top-right corner to navigate to your Lists Dashboard without interrupting the Push.
Push Reporting
From your Task Manager tab, located on the left-hand sidebar, click Push To Events to view a summary of all Processing and Completed Push to Events tasks. Click 'Open Report' to view a full summary of any Push.
What the report shows:
Summary details: the date and time the Push was created, who created it, the number of Lists used, and the number of target Events.
Status tabs: quickly filter Contacts by outcome:
All Contacts: every Contact included in the Push.
Pushed: Contact and all required data were successfully Pushed.
Partially pushed: Contact was pushed, but Photo and/or Relationships were not.
Error: the Contact could not be pushed due to a blocking issue, such as missing mandatory First or Last Name.
Contact-level detail: for each Contact, the report displays their name, email, the Source List they came from, the Target Event(s) they were pushed to, and their individual Status.
Filters and search: narrow results by Source List or Target Event, or search for a specific contact by name or email.
Tips for a Smooth Push
Check that any Lists you intend to Push have a status of Approved. Lists with a status of In Progress or Needs Review cannot be Pushed.
Use clear, descriptive List titles in Audience to avoid Pushing the wrong Lists, as well as to simplify collaboration among multiple Users.
Double-check your selected Events and List names before proceeding, to avoid pushing the wrong List to the wrong Event.
