Learn how to proceed when adding users that are already part of another zkipster account
On all zkipster plan levels, multiple users can be added into a single account, enabling effective teamwork and collaborative endeavours. This is essential for optimizing the efficiency of your event management, as it allows several users to login simultaneously and work in your event.

Adding an Already Existing User
Usernames in zkipster must be unique across all platform and they need to be a valid email address for identification, authentication, and security reasons.

If you encounter an alert stating "username already exists" or "username change failed" when attempting to a new user or update the username of an existing user, it indicates that the specific email address is already being used as a username in a different zkipster account.
How to Proceed
If the other account the user is part of is still active (meaning it has an active subscription), the user can try to change their username on that account first.
For that, they can follow the steps below:
Login to the other zkipster account by typing their username and password;
Click on the 'Edit Profile' button from the top right corner;
Change the username;
If the 'Username' field is greyed out, that means the user does not have the permission to change their own username in that account. In this case, they can request that the account owner or a user with administrative access manually remove their profile from the account. This article explains how to manage users in the account.

Please Note: As mentioned earlier, usernames must be valid email addresses. When changing the username on an old account, the user would have to replace it with a valid email. A recommended approach would be to change the old account's username to an alternative email address that will not be used for your zkipster account in the future.
The User Cannot Manually Switch Their Username From Their Original Account
If the user lacks the necessary permissions to access their account details or if the account has become inactive, please contact support@zkipster.com to request the removal of the account
Once the account is removed from the original zkipster account, the email username will be available for use
