This article shows you how to add and configure one or more Custom Buttons in your campaign email and across your response form pages.
Please note: the Communications feature is available on the Professional or Enterprise plan levels. Please check out this article to learn how to upgrade your subscription.
Campaign templates supported: 'Email and Response Form', 'Standalone Email', Standalone Form.
If your campaign was created with the 'Email and Response Form' template, your email's default 'Button' already links to the same campaign’s response form. The Custom Button is an additional CTA.
Adding a Custom Button to your campaign email
Once you create your campaign email, follow the steps below to add a custom button. You can create unlimited buttons within the same email.
Create the custom button
In the Email Composer, click 'Create Custom Button +' from the bottom right. A new Custom Button section should appear at the bottom of the composer.
Enable it
Click into Custom Button and toggle it on. A new button is generated at the bottom of your email.
Customize the design
From the 'Custom Button' section you can customize the design of the button, the same way as with the default buttons on the Email or Form parts of the campaign.
Choose where it links
To define where the button will direct your guests to, use the 'Link Button' section to pick one of the following options:Consent form — link straight to your event’s Consent Form.
Another form (from different campaign) — direct guests to a form from another campaign on the same event.
Web address — paste any URL (e.g., your website).
Please note: when using the custom button to link to a form from a different campaign, archiving the other campaign or closing it will break this button's link. We recommend only using this option if you and your team are able to manage multiple campaigns that are linked to each other.Save changes
Click Save Changes in the composer.
Preview and Test (recommended)
Send yourself a test email to confirm:The primary RSVP button still leads to the guest’s private form for this campaign.
The Custom Button opens the destination you selected (consent form, other form, or URL).
Adding a Custom Button to your response form
You can also add a Custom Button on all three pages of your response form:
Landing page
RSVP Form page
Success page
Example use case: Let guests submit their RSVP via the standard form, then show a Custom Button on the success page that links to your consent form.
Learn More: How to Navigate Through your Response Form Pages
The steps to add a custom button to the different form pages are the same as for the email, but there are important things to consider:
The 'Custom Button' loads the URL linked to it on the same tab - for tis reason, we recommend avoiding using a custom button on the 'RSVP Form' page, as this would direct your guest to a different link before they are able to submit their main RSVP Form.
If your main response form is a 'Public Form' and you create a custom button on the 'Landing Page' or 'RSVP Form' page that links to a 'Private Form', the custom button link will not be accessible. This is because a private form link can only be accessed by existing guests in your event's list. If you are using a Public Form to gather registration from the public, only use a Custom Button linked to a 'Private Form' on the 'Success Page', since the guest will only have a profile in your event after they submit their Public Form response.

Best Practices
Keep CTAs focused: Use the default 'Button' as the primary RSVP button in the email, and use the Custom Button for secondary paths (e.g., consent form or event info).
Label clearly: Short, action-oriented labels like “Complete Consent Form” or “View Event Info” work best.
Stay on-brand: Match your button colors and rounded style to your brand for a cohesive look.
Test the guest experience: Send a test email and walk through the full flow, including any success page buttons. You can learn more about how to test your campaign before sending it to your guests via this article here.
FAQs
Can I add more than one custom button?
Yes, you can create multiple buttons on both the email and the form parts of your campaign.
Does the custom button replace the default RSVP button?
No. The default RSVP button (when using an 'Email + Form' template) still links to the guest’s private form already attached to the campaign. The Custom Button should be used as an additional CTA.
What can I link a custom button to?
A consent form, another form from a different campaign, or any web address (URL).
