zkipster Professional and Enterprise users can apply filters to easily locate specific guests through Seating on the zkipster Mobile App.
This feature is especially helpful when managing larger guest lists, as it lets you quickly narrow down guests using relevant criteria. By applying one or multiple filters whether default fields, custom fields or a combination of both, you can streamline the seating process, save time, and ensure accuracy. This makes it easier to find the right guests, accommodate special requirements, and keep seating organized directly from the mobile app.
Please Note: The Seating feature is currently only supported on the zkipster iOs app used on iPads and Android Tablet. It is currently not available on iPhones or Android mobile phones.
For a better experience using zkipster Seating via the app, we recommend using devices with resolutions higher than 1024px. Please also check this article for the device recommendations in zkipster.
All seating changes made on the day of your event on your iPads will sync across all other devices used at the event when connected to the internet.
Navigating to Filters
Once you have navigated to the seating feature on the zkipster mobile app, tap on the icon highlighted below to navigate to your filters screen.
Filters
The filters screen will now appear, allowing you to filter your guests by their guest fields, with both custom and default fields available.
Guest Fields: These are custom fields you’ve created for your event (e.g., dietary preferences, VIP level, company name). Filtering by guest fields helps you quickly identify specific groups that matter most to your event setup.
Guest List: If your event has multiple guest lists (e.g., Staff, Sponsors, Attendees), this filter lets you display guests from a particular list only.
Seating Status: This allows you to filter by whether a guest is Seated or Unseated. You can also choose to see seated guests across all floorplans or just the current floorplan you are working on.
Status: Filter by guest status, such as Checked-In or Confirmed, to see which guests are already at the event or who has confirmed attendance but not yet arrived.
Seating Colors: If you use seating colors (visual tags for different categories of guests or tables), this filter helps you display only guests assigned to a specific color group.
Floorplan Table: This filter shows guests by their table assignment on the seating chart, making it easy to locate and manage attendees at specific tables.
Sessions: If your event includes sessions (e.g., breakout sessions, panels, or workshops), this filter lets you display guests based on their assigned session, so you can manage seating for each session more effectively.
Applying Filters
In the example shown below, filters are applied to narrow down the guest search. Once a filter is selected, the app immediately narrows down the results, and you can tap See Guests at the bottom to view the filtered list. You have the flexibility to use a single filter or apply multiple filters together. Combining filters allows you to refine your results with greater precision, making it easier to identify the right guests, manage seating arrangements, and address specific needs during your event.
