In zkipster Events, you can distribute digital passes for your event using the Wallet Pass feature, allowing guests to add the pass they receive via Communications to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet for quick, secure access on their mobile devices. This creates a seamless, contactless guest experience by keeping essential event details easy to find and always up to date - helping you deliver a polished, modern guest journey.

Follow the steps below to enable your Wallet Pass on your Email campaign and share it with your guests:

1 - Make sure you have created a Pass in your event using the 'Wallet Pass' feature:

2 - From the 'Communications' feature, create a new campaign or open an existing campaign so that you can link the wallet pass to the 'Email' or to the 'Confirmation Email' of the campaign:

Currently, zkipster's wallet passes can only be shared via Email and you can link the same Pass to multiple email campaigns. This means that if you have an email campaign designed for your VIP guest list and a different campaign for your Collaborators guest list, for example, but both lists can receive the same Pass, you are able to create just one pass and link it to both campaigns.

3 - From the 'Composer' tab of your Email or Confirmation Email builder, click on the 'Add Element +' button and select 'Wallet Pass' to enable the pass button in your email campaign.

Please note: Enabling the 'Wallet Pass' button in your campaign is not enough for the pass to work - you also need to manually link the button to an existing pass in your event.

4 - From the 'Wallet Pass' section of your email composer, use the 'Button Alignment' dropdown to define if the 'Add to Apple/Google Wallet' buttons will be aligned to the Left, Center or Right of your email.

5 - From the 'Link Pass' dropdown menu, select which Wallet Pass you created in your event that should be linked to the buttons - that will be the pass the recipients of the email will be able to instal in their mobile wallets.

6 - From the 'Review and Send' page you can also use the 'Wallet Pass' section to review if the pass linked to the campaign is the correct one before sending the campaign to your guests:

Linking the Wallet Pass to a Custom Button

Users can also link a Wallet Pass to a custom button if they wish, instead of using the default branded 'Add to Wallet' buttons with the Apple and Google logos.

To achieve this, follow the steps below:

1 - Open the 'Composer' tab of your Email / Confirmation Email;
2 - Click on the 'Add Element +' button;

3 - Select the 'Custom Button' option:

4 - Open the new 'Custom Button' section on the composer and make sure to select which Wallet Pass should be linked to that button:

5 - Click 'Save Changes' to save the new button.

Once your guests receive the email, they can click on the custom button to download the pass and install it in their Apple or Google Wallet.

How to View and Export your Wallet Pass Report from your Campaign Summary

Once you sent the campaign to your guests, you are able to view which recipient of that campaign has already installed the pass or not and which of them have deactivated the pass from their mobile devices.

Click on the 'Wallet Pass' button from the top right of the campaign 'Summary' page to view the report:

Please note: the 'Wallet Pass' report available on the campaign level only shows the analytics of the guests interactions with the passes sent via that specific campaign. If you linked the same pass to multiple campaigns, you can either view each specific campaign report or open the Wallet Pass Report from the 'Wallet Pass' feature to see the analytics from that pass across multiple campaigns.

Wallet Pass Status

Once a Wallet Pass is sent to guests, it can have 4 different statuses:

  • Processing: the pass is still being processed and has not yet been delivered to the recipient.

  • Pending Generation: the pass has been delivered to the guest, but the guest has not yet installed on their digital wallet.

  • Issued: the guest has clicked on the 'Add to Wallet' button - this does not mean the guest finished installing the pass.

  • Activated: the guest fully installed the pass on their mobile wallet.

  • Voided: the pass has been deinstalled by the guest or has been manually voided by a zkipster user.

From the 'Action' dropdown menu, you can export the wallet pass report of the selected guests by choosing the 'Export' option.

If you want to void a pass, select which guest should have the pass voided and from the 'Action' dropdown menu select 'Void Pass':
