With zkipster’s Communication feature, available on the Professional and Enterprise plans, you can include a PDF version of your campaign Email to be sent to your guests via SMS/WhatsApp message.

This comes in handy when you want to:

  • Attach a QR code to your SMS campaign, but in a customized and branded background;

  • Attach the Email portion of your campaign to allow guests to view it from SMS/WhatsApp;

  • Send guests from organizations that have high security servers that may block your email from being delivered a version of the same email via text message;

Please note: you are allowed one attachment file per SMS/WhatsApp message. Guests need to access the link sent via the SMS message to open the attachment. On WhatsApp, the attachment is displayed as an image in the body of the message.

How to include an Email PDF to SMS/WhatsAPP messages

  • To create a new Campaign that contains the 'Email' and the 'SMS/WhatsApp' messages, select either Email/Message + Response Form or Email/Message template:

    To add SMS/WhatsApp messages, toggle the 'SMS/WhatsApp' button 'on' to include your message.

  • Design the 'Email' as usual and include a QR Code if you wish:

  • From the "Composer" tab of your SMS/WhatsApp campaign, click on 'Attachment' and turn the toggle ON:

  • You can select between the options of Email PDF, QR Code, or custom file - in this case, choose 'Email PDF'.

  • Note: Click on the toggle next to "WhatsApp" if you intend to use WhatsApp instead of SMS.

Make sure to include the dynamic tag: attachment_url in your text messages. This adds the link to the Email PDF, QR Code, or custom file in the message:

Using the Email PDF to send QR Codes with customized background through SMS/WhatsApp Messages

There are two ways to include a QR code through SMS/WhatsApp:

- Enabling the 'QR Code' attachment to add a QR Code on a blank background.
- Designing an Email with a QR Code and enabling the 'Email PDF' attachment.

If you choose the 'QR Code' attachment on a SMS campaign, the QR Code image will be displayed to your guests on a blank background:

If you choose the 'Email PDF' attachment, your guests will view the email you designed, including their QR Code. See example below:
