How to View your Guest Relationships with Seating

Learn how guest relationships reflects in the zkipster seating feature in the browser and mobile app

Seating with Relationships allows event planners to view the relationship between guests in your Seating Map.

You would also need to set up the relationship between guests by following the instructions listed in the articles here. Once set, the Relationship between guests will also reflect in the Seating Map as you assign each guest(s) to their respective seat assignments.

Please note: zkipster seating is available for Professional and Enterprise plans only.

Viewing Relationships with Seating via the browser

  • Via the Relationships button

  • Via the Relationships counter

After you have created your seating map, assigned seats and relate guests to each other, you will also see a ‘Relationships button' on the seating map under the 'Guest Seating' section.

When you click the relationship button, you will see a list of related guests underneath the main guest. The main guest and their related guests will be highlighted in the Seating Map and the Main Guest selected will have a green color border.

Selecting the ‘Relationships counter' within the guest seating map pop-up box will open the same view as above.

Pro Tip: Click the Edit icon (pencil icon) to open a page where you can edit the guest information.

On the 'Overview and Printing' section, tick the 'Relationship' checkbox on the left hand side menu to trace lines between related guests on your seating plan by:

  • Table

  • Guest List

  • Guest

  • Relationship

Viewing Relationships with Seating via the mobile app

  • Via the Relationships button

Similar to the browser, you can tap on the 'Relationships button' via the 'Seating' tab to view the guest relationship.

An edit arrow is also available in the Mobile app and will open a page where you can edit the guest information.

When you tap the 'Relationships button', you will see a list of related guests underneath the main guest. Both the main guest and their related guests will be highlighted in the Seating Map and the Main Guest selected will have a green color border as shown below.

How to Print Guest Relationships with Seating

  1. Go to the 'Overview and Printing' section located at the bottom middle part of the screen via the 'Seating' tab.

  2. On the Overview settings at the left hand side, select the available display options that you want to include.

  3. Select to include the 'Relationships' to trace lines between related guests.

4. Click the 'Create PDF' button and download the pdf file.
