Enable Guests to RSVP on Behalf of Others within zkipster

Event planners on the Professional and Enterprise plans can use the Invitations feature to send invitations and choose if guests can RSVP to the event on behalf of themselves only or on behalf of other guests they are related to.

Guests can only be allowed to RSVP on behalf of guests that they are related to, so the first thing you need to do is to create Guest Relationships either via the guest list spreadsheet you upload into zkipster or manually via the Guest Profile and the guest list view. Please check the articles below to learn how to do so:

Once you have correctly defined your guests’ relationships, you can choose to send your invitation to your main guests’ relationships and allow them to RSVP of behalf or each other.

Allowing Guests to RSVP on Behalf of Others

Guests can RSVP on behalf of their related guests either via the Form Landing Page or via the Form Success Page. By default, all Response Forms have a customizable Landing Page and Success Page enabled.

The steps to follow in order to allow your guests to RSVP on behalf of related guests are the same for the Form Landing Page and the Form Success Page:

1 - On the Landing Page/Success Page composer, click into the 'Relationships' section and turn the toggle ON to include RSVP buttons for related guests:

2 - On the 'Settings' tab of the Relationships section you can choose to include RSVP buttons for all related guests or only for specific related guests, such as related guests that have a 'Coworker' or 'Personal Assistant' relationship status, for example:

3 - Click into the 'Text' tab of the Relationships section to customize the text to be displayed to your guest:

4 - On the 'Related Link' tab of the Relationships section you can customize the RSVP button of the related guests:

  • Tick the check boxes to include First Name, Last Name and Salutation;

  • Drag and drop to define the order of the related guest details to be displayed;

  • Choose to display a second RSVP button with the main guest details by ticking the 'Include Main Guest' check box;

  • Customize the text and background of the related guests RSVP buttons.

5 - Lastly, the 'Button' tab of the Relationships section allows you to customize the background of the arrow icon and the color of the arrow:

Click on the gold 'Save Changes' button at the top right of your form composer to save the changes.

As mentioned above, you can also set up your Response Form's Success Page in order to allow your guests to RSVP on behalf of their related guests. This comes in specially handy if you do not want to enable a Landing Page, but still want to allow your guests to RSVP on behalf of others.

To do that, open the Success Page via the form navigation menu on the left hand side and click into the 'Relationships' section to enable the RSVP buttons for the related guests, just as explained above for the Landing Page:
